Donald E. Craven, MD, attended Albany Medical College in Albany, NY, and received his medical degree in 1970. Then, he served his internship and internal medicine residency at McGill University/Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, QB, Canada (1971 – 1974). Furthermore, he conducted his infectious disease medicine fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, MA (1974-1976). During his fellowship, he was honored with the Alice Fruehan Award for Outpatient Medicine, the American Cancer Society Fellowship at Christie Hospital in Manchester, England, and the Lamb Foundation Award for Excellence in Medicine.  In addition, Dr. Craven received board certification in internal medicine and infectious disease medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. To stay up to date in his field, he is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Moreover, he attained fellowship of the Society of Health Care Epidemiologists, and the Massachusetts Hospital Association. In addition to his medical degree, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology acquired at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, in 1966. Dr. Craven has held fellowships with the American College of Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the Infectious Disease Society.
